Ask Our Experts (Ep 30): SEMICON India 2025

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) conducted the 30th episode of ‘Ask Our Experts’- a YouTube LIVE programme- on the topic ‘SEMICON India 2025: Building the Next Semiconductor Powerhouse’ on August 22, 2025. The expert panel featured Shri Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Additional Secretary, MeitY and CEO of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM); Shri Vivek Khaneja, Executive Director, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Noida; and Shri Ashok Chandak, President of SEMI India and India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA). The experts deep dived into India’s growing role in the global semiconductor ecosystem and the strategic initiatives supporting this growth, including government policies, design ecosystem, fabrication, packaging, and emerging startup support programmes.
