The Digital India Workshop, held on August 21, 2025 at IIPS, Mumbai, was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and experts from the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to engage in meaningful discussions on India’s digital transformation. The event began with a warm welcome address and felicitation ceremony, followed by an insightful inaugural session led by Shri Ajeet Kumar, Deputy General Manager, NeGD. During the day, participants gained hands-on knowledge through a series of focused sessions on key initiatives:
1. DigiLocker – Secure digital document storage and access
2. Cybersecurity & Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 – Ensuring safe digital participation
3. UMANG & OpenForge – Citizen-centric services and open-source collaboration
4. ABC/NAD–APAAR – Academic Bank of Credits and student empowerment
5. myScheme – Simplifying access to government schemes
An engaging Digital India Quiz added enthusiasm and healthy competition among students, with winners felicitated in the closing ceremony.
