Targeted at the idea of transparent and accessible governance, Nyaykosh (Law as Code) is a platform that publishes Indian laws as open, structured and machine-consumable data — eliminating the dependence on scanned gazette PDFs. It marks a paradigm shift in how legislation is delivered: the same authoritative statute is now available as a clean, citizen-friendly read, an official PDF for the record, internationally standardised LegalDocML/Akoma Ntoso XML for systems, and versioned REST APIs for developers.

The platform empowers every category of user. Citizens and students can read provisions in plain language without legal training. Compliance officers and enterprises can use the built-in. Developers and legal-tech innovators can consume provisions, rules and penalty schedules as clean JSON through open APIs, with no registration or API key required for read access.
