The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) currently operate within a highly fragmented digital landscape comprising over 108 independent portals and applications, including platforms such as NSRS, Khelo India, ACTC, TOPS, NSF, RCMS, and GMS. While each system addresses specific functional requirements, the absence of a unified digital framework has led to duplicated processes, siloed athlete and federation data, manual and repetitive workflows, and an inconsistent user experience for stakeholders across the sports ecosystem.
To overcome these challenges, the proposed solution envisions the creation of a Unified Digital Sports Ecosystem built on a microservices‑based, federated architecture. This approach will enable modular integration, scalability, and interoperability while allowing existing systems to be gradually rationalised and consolidated.
The unified platform will be structured around four core digital pillars. The Sports Management System will manage athlete and coach lifecycles; the Federation Administration System will address governance, compliance, and grant management; the Infrastructure Management System will enable geo‑tagged infrastructure mapping, bookings, and IoT‑based monitoring; and the Event Management System will manage competition calendars, live results, and volunteer coordination. Together, these pillars will deliver a seamless, data‑driven, and user‑centric sports ecosystem.
