The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), MeitY, in collaboration with the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Manipur, successfully organized a two-day Digital India State Consultation Workshop in Imphal, Manipur from March 23-24, 2026. Workshop was inaugurated by Shri Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, IPS (Retd) (Hon’ble MLA and Ex Education Minister, Manipur), in the presence of Shri N. Binod Singh, Shri Sunil Jain, and Shri Ajay Kumar, marking a strong commitment towards advancing digital governance in the state. Bringing together representatives from multiple government departments, the workshop focused on accelerating adoption of key Digital India initiatives—including DigiLocker, Entity Locker, Meri Pehchaan, API Setu, UMANG, MyScheme, and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023. The sessions highlighted the impact of Digital India in building a digitally empowered society and showcased Manipur’s progress with multiple departments onboarded on platforms like DigiLocker and Entity Locker. Expert-led sessions also provided key insights on implementation, interoperability, and scaling for secure, citizen-centric service delivery.
