Project Details

Brief Background

AgriStack is a farmer-centric Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiative under the Government of India's Digital Agriculture Mission. It creates a unified digital ecosystem by establishing key agricultural registries such as the Farmer Registry (Farmer ID), Crop Sown Registry, and Geo-referenced Village Maps. The platform enables seamless delivery of agricultural services, schemes, subsidies, credit, insurance, and procurement benefits to farmers through authenticated digital records.

•        Create a unique digital identity (Farmer ID) for every farmer.
•        Build a trusted and authenticated farmer database linked with land records.
•        Enable efficient delivery of government schemes and agricultural services.
•        Improve transparency, accuracy, and accountability in benefit distribution.
•        Support data-driven policy making and agricultural planning.
•        Facilitate access to credit, insurance, procurement, and advisory services.

Implementation Methodology

1.        Farmer Registry Creation
o        Collection and verification of farmer details.
o        Linking farmer records with land records and Aadhaar-based authentication.
o        Generation of unique Farmer IDs.
2.        Geo-referenced Village Mapping
o        Creation of digital village maps with plot-level information.
3.        Crop Sown Registry
o        Digital crop surveys to capture plot-wise crop information for each season.
4.        Integration with Government Applications
o        Integration with departments and schemes such as PM-KISAN, PMFBY - Crop Insurance, MSP - Procurement, MahaDBT, MahaVISTAAR AI, Farm Loan Waiver, Fertiliser Distribution, KCC Loan, Natural Calamities (E-Panchnama) 
5.        API-Based Service Delivery
o        Secure APIs enable authorized departments to access verified farmer and crop data.
6.        Monitoring and Governance
o        Continuous validation, updates, and monitoring by State Governments and the Ministry of Agriculture
