MahaONE is Maharashtra's unified single sign-on (SSO) service, giving citizens one secure login to access multiple State government services and portals. Built on MahaSarathi, it authenticates the citizen, links them to their permanent identifier (MahaID) on the MahaSarathi platform, and provides a consistent, accessible, bilingual login experience across departments — replacing multiple logins with a single trusted government identity.

Brief Background
Citizens previously needed separate credentials for different Maharashtra government portals and services, creating friction, repeated registration and inconsistent identity assurance. As part of the MahaSarathi programme, the MahaONE module was created to provide a single government login tied to the citizen's Golden Record and MahaID, so authentication is consistent, secure and reusable across services.
Objective
Benefits
Citizens use one login across government services instead of many, with identity assurance. Departments avoid building and maintaining separate authentication, and get verified, MahaID-linked users. The State gets a consistent, auditable authentication layer with centralised access governance and adoption monitoring.
