The CM Dashboard is Maharashtra's monitoring platform for the Chief Minister and senior leadership, presenting a real-time, consolidated view of key schemes, departmental performance and public service delivery indicators in one place. It draws data from departmental systems into visual dashboards, supports drill-down from State to district level, and highlights exceptions and underperformance so that reviews are grounded in current data rather than periodic reports.
Project Details
Brief Background
Performance was earlier tracked through periodic, manual reports compiled from scattered departmental sources, which made a real-time, cross-department view almost impossible and delayed corrective action. The dashboard was operationalised to consolidate this information automatically through system integrations, giving leadership a single, continuously updated picture of how schemes and departments are performing.
Objective
To give State leadership a live, data-driven basis for reviewing scheme and departmental performance and taking timely, outcome-focused decisions. The platform aims to serve as a single source of truth for governance indicators and to make review meetings and course corrections faster and evidence-based.
Benefits
Leadership sees consolidated performance in real time, can drill down to the district or scheme level and is alerted to exceptions that need attention. Departments are reviewed against common, transparent indicators and can prepare on the same data leadership sees. Citizens ultimately benefit from the sharper accountability and improved delivery outcomes this oversight drives.
Implementation Methodology
Data flows in from departmental systems and service applications through APIs and data pipelines into configurable dashboards. Key performance indicators are defined for each scheme and department, mapped to their data sources, and validated for accuracy before publication. Dashboards support geographic and temporal drill-down and refresh on a defined cadence so the view stays current.
