The project digitally transforms road connectivity planning for unconnected rural habitations using a GIS-enabled mobile app and web portal. It replaces manual surveys with real-time geospatial data, automated route mapping, and digital validation, enabling faster DPR preparation, transparent approvals, and data-driven decision-making.

Project Details

Brief Background

The application enables digital identification and planning of road connectivity for unconnected rural habitations using a GIS-enabled mobile app and web portal. It replaces manual methods with satellite imagery and GIS analysis to identify habitations located beyond 50 meters from existing all-weather BT/CC roads, supporting efficient and data-driven connectivity planning

Objective

The rural population will benefit as villagers will no longer need to walk long distances for health services, education, markets, and government facilities. With all-weather road
connectivity, they save travel time and transport costs, access essential services more easily, and gain improved economic opportunities for better living conditions.

Benefits

1- Significantly reduces time and cost through a fully digital survey and approval process.
2- Eliminates delays caused by manual surveys and paper-based verification.
