The second day of the Regional Open Digital Health Summit (RODHS) 2025 in New Delhi witnessed deep technical exchanges and country-led demonstrations as health leaders from across the South-East Asia region showcased national progress in building interoperable, scalable digital health architectures grounded in open standards and open-source technologies.

In line with its core objective of meaningfully engaging with citizens across India, MyGov— the citizen-engagement platform of the Government of India—undertook a series of initiatives to mark the observance of National Space Day. Aimed at raising awareness and spreading knowledge about India’s remarkable space journey, MyGov created multiple avenues for public participation, including creative contests, informative social media campaigns, newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and videos.

The Regional Open Digital Health Summit 2025 (RODHS 2025) got underway in New Delhi on 19 November, bringing together senior government officials, international development organisations, and health technology innovators from across the South-east Asia Region.

Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, today addressed the AI Impact Festival – an official pre-summit event in the run up to the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, hosted by Intel in partnership with the Ministry of Education, CBSE, NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NIELIT, and INSPIRE–MANAK.

In continuation of approval of seven applications for ₹ 5,532 crore announced earlier, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has approved 17 more proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). These approved projects span across the country with a total investment of Rs 7,172 crore, cumulative projected production of Rs 65,111 crore, and creation of 11,808 direct employment opportunities.

The pavilion brings together three major thematic zones that is Digital India, IndiaAI, and MyGov, offering visitors an immersive view of India’s vision for digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence for social good, and participatory governance.

Enacted by Parliament on 11 August 2023, the DPDP Act establishes a comprehensive framework for protecting digital personal data, setting out the obligations of entities handling such data (Data Fiduciaries) and the rights and duties of individuals (Data Principals). It follows the SARAL design —Simple, Accessible, Rational and Actionable—using plain language and illustrations to support ease of understanding and compliance.

The IndiaAI Mission, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, in collaboration with the International Energy Agency (IEA), has announced a global Call for Abstracts for the upcoming Casebook on the Real-World Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Energy. The collaboration seeks to leverage the IEA’s global expertise and analytical framework while supporting the vision of the IndiaAI Mission to foster responsible, inclusive, and impactful AI adoption in alignment with the Global South’s sustainable energy goals.

After waiving all charges for Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) in Aadhaar for children, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will use behavioural insights to enhance adoption of MBU. UIDAI has partnered with research consultancy Behavioural Insights Limited (BIT) to help children and youngsters access vital services through the timely updation of biometric in their Aadhaar.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has released a Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) to strengthen mechanisms for the removal and prevention of Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) content on online platforms. This initiative, developed in compliance with the directions of the Madras High Court (Writ Petition – Civil No.25017/2025, Order dated 15.07.2025), aims to provide clear and victim-centric procedures for swift removal of such objectionable content and to ensure effective implementation of Rule 3(2)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, in collaboration with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has organized the National Cybersecurity Exercise titled “Cyber Bharat Setu: Bridging States, Securing Bharat.”

The National Conference on ‘DigiLocker-Enabling Paperless Access for All’, held this week, in New Delhi. The Conference brought senior government officials, leaders from the technology and financial sectors, educationists, and digital governance experts together. The conference underscored the transformative role of DigiLocker in facilitating paperless governance, inclusive education, and secure digital services, which is a critical milestone in the nation’s ongoing Digital Trust Revolution.
