The goals of the division are to:
- Provide specialized trainings to political and policy level decision makers, managers and implementers across all States/UTs and Central Line Ministries
- Support States/UTs with professional resources to increase internal capability for implementing different e-Government programmes.
The areas covered under these initiatives include e-Governance processes, adoption and adaption of MeitY/DIC initiatives/platforms, how to leverage various emerging technologies in Government, discussion on national/international landscape of technologies, building capacities of roles such as CIO/CISO/CTO, orientation of national policies/guidelines/frameworks, consultative workshops, masterclasses (virtual series) on being future ready, long term and short term courses on related areas.
183+ training programmes/masterclasses have been conducted with more than 18000 participation’s.
Learning Management System is a portal to build capacities of the Government officials with technology-enabled skills, knowledge and envisaged to support the mission ‘Karmayogi Program’ to transform Capacity Building in Government with Future Skills, more than 4.42 lakh learners are already using the platforms for their learning.
State e-Mission Team (SeMT) are a team of professionals attached to State/UT IT department to provide technical/professional support to the State decision and policy-making bodies (State Apex Committee). They have been formed within the government structure to enhance the internal professional capacity. 231 SeMTs are provisioned to be placed across all States/UTs.
