Copyright Policy

Material featured on this Portal may be reproduced free of charge after taking proper permission by sending a mail to us. However, the material has to be reproduced accurately and not to be used in a derogatory manner or in a misleading context. Wherever the material is being published or issued to others, the source must be prominently acknowledged. However, the permission to reproduce this material shall not extend to any material which is identified as being copyright of a third party. Authorization to reproduce such material must be obtained from the departments/copyright holders concerned. We adhere to all Copyright Policy of the content being published on the website from other sources.

Content Contribution, Moderation & Approval Policy (CMAP)

Content is created by the Nodal Officers designated by Group heads. The content is approved by the respective Group Heads and emailed to webmaster@digitalindia.gov.in . for publishing on the NeGD website. It is required to contribute the content through an Official email id(.gov.in/.nic.in) only to Webmaster at webmaster@digtitalindia.gov.in .

To maintain uniformity and to bring in standardization along with associated metadata and keywords of this document content across the website is to be kept consistent with the ‘Guidelines for Content Categories in NeGD-Website’.

Content received by webmaster on the designated email webmaster@digitalindia.gov.in is published on the website through a web-based Content Management System within the same working day.

Once published the Nodal Officer under the Group heads are notified to verify and confirm. The responsibility of the website content however, lies with the Web Information Manager.

Content Archival Policy (CAP)

Divisions are informed by sending timely reminders to them for updating their content & putting the old content into Archive section.

Promotional banners published or deleted on the website only as per the requests from content owners (Nodal Officers and Group Heads). No banners are kept as an archive data. In case there is a lapse in request for removal of banner a reminder is sent to the content owner before archiving the same.

For few of the components like Notifications, Tenders, Vacancies the content Published On date & Unpublished/Archive Date is always available on the website.

For archival of old contents (documents, schemes, services, forms, websites and contact directory), the content owners are required to send an email to webmaster for archival of the same as per the Content Review Policy. The content Element on the Website has different Entry/Exit Policy and Archival Policy as enlisted below:-

Tenders, Vacancy, OMs, Schemes, Gazette Notifications – It is removed from website manually in 5 years but we keep records in Content Management System.

Content Review Policy (CRP)

The Content Review Policy is prepared in consultation with the content owners (Nodal Officer under the Group heads). The responsibility of review and approval of the content is that of the respective content owner i.e. respective Nodal Officer and Group Heads.

The content is published on NeGD Website only after the approval of the content by the respective approver of the content which is received through an Official email id(.gov.in/.nic.in) at webmaster@digitalindia.gov.in . The CMS Administrator then publishes the content through CMS.

The confirmation of content published on NeGD website is given to the content owner. The records of these communique’ are maintained and are available in CMS.

The entire website content is reviewed for syntax/grammar checks once in a week by the NeGD Website Team.

All security issues related to the website will be addressed as per security guidelines issued by Government of India from time to time. NeGD website contains information which is freely accessible, and may be viewed by any visitor. However, the website maintains a copyright interest in the contents of all of its websites. Except for authorized security investigations and data collection, no attempts will be made to identify individual users.

The website has been audited by Cert-in empanelled auditor and all the vulnerabilities have been fixed. Upon completion, security clearance certificate of cert-in empanelled auditor has been received. A periodic check on the requirement of security certificate is recommended to the web information manager in case there are changes in the functionality or any other environmental changes.

Website Monitoring Policy

Web Properties are monitored periodically in accordance with the plan to address and fix the quality and compatibility issues around the following parameters:

Performance: Site download time is optimized for a variety of networks tested for this.

Functionality: All modules of this Website are optimally tested for their functionality.

Broken Links: The web properties are thoroughly reviewed to rule out the presence of any broken links or errors. A number of tools and techniques are applied to detect the broken links, if any.

Traffic Analysis: The site traffic are regularly monitored to analyze the usage patterns as well as visitors’ profile and preferences. Traffic Analysis tools also help with reports on broken links.

Feedback: Feedback from the visitors is the best way to judge a performance and make necessary improvements. A proper mechanism for feedback analysis is in place to carry out the changes and enhancements as suggested by the visitors.
