The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), along with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the Computer Security Incident Response Team in Finance (CSIRT-Fin) and SISA, today released the second edition of the Digital Threat Report 2025–26 for the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and payments ecosystem. The report provides financial institutions, regulators and cybersecurity leaders with an executive assessment of the threats reshaping banking, financial services, insurance and digital payments.

National Consultative Workshop on “Strengthening Cyber Security Frameworks for State Data”
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) convened the National Consultative Workshop on “Strengthening Cyber Security Frameworks for State Data” at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi on 11 May 2026. The Workshop was chaired by Shri S. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, MeitY, and was attended by Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and senior officers from State and Union Territory Governments, along with representatives from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the National Informatics Centre (NIC), and senior officials of MeitY and NeGD.
Five States Felicitated for exceptional DigiLocker Integration Initiatives
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has been consistently working towards integrating DigiLocker with citizen services across the country to enable seamless and efficient delivery of public services. As a part of its sustained efforts to strengthen digital governance, NeGD has focused on facilitating the integration of DigiLocker with various State digital service platforms. In recognition of exemplary initiatives in this domain, five States were felicitated for their outstanding contribution towards DigiLocker integration. The felicitation took place during the National Consultative Workshop on Strengthening Cybersecurity Frameworks for State Data, held on May 11, 2026.
