The Digital India Awards platform provides an opportunity to review the significant milestones achieved during journey of designing of citizen-centric digital solutions to bring government services closer to the citizens, thus enhancing the quality of life for all stakeholders. Instituted under the aegis of National Portal of India, these Awards serve the purpose of bringing to the fore innovative digital solutions & thereby inspiring emulation by all Government entities. National Informatics Centre (NIC) under Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has been conducting the biennial Digital India Awards (DIA) to promote innovation in eGovernance and digital transformation of government service delivery mechanism.
In line with Digital India’s vision, this is first time that entire process of Digital India Awards was conducted online from nominations to screening and to the final Awards ceremony.
The 6th edition of the Digital India Awards 2020 witnessed a participation of 24 teams across 6 categories-

In addition to the above six categories, Jury Choice Award was conferred to honour excellence in the design and implementation of National Public Digital Platform.
Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind garced the occasion & conferred the awards in a virtual ceremony ( NIC Video Conferencing Service) scheduled at 11 am IST on Wednesday, 30th December, 2020.
