Chief Information Officers Training Programme
Chief Information Officers’ Training Programmes is a comprehensive programme designed to build the knowledge and skills of officers who are involved in leading, managing and implementing e-Governance Mission Mode Projects (MMP) under e-Governance Projects in Ministries/ Departments, both at Centre & States/ UTs. The CIO Training Programmes started in the year 2011 under the World Bank funding and then got approved in the year 2015 under Digital India Capacity Building Scheme Phase II.
In 2018, 2 CIO Training Programmes were conducted in the months of August & September for target participants who consisted of Senior Government Officials (policy & program level) both at Centre and State/UTs. In terms of hhierarchy, the participants were of the level of Joint Secretary/ Director and equivalent in the Centre, and that of Principal Secretary/ Head of Department and equivalent in the State.
