A joint celebration of International Women’s Day was held on 06 March 2020 at Meity premises in New Delhi for all the women staff of National eGovernance Division (NeGD) & MyGov.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Abhishek Singh, IAS, President & Chief Executive Officer, NeGD & CEO, MyGov said that women at all levels have always played a crucial role in all initiatives under Digital India Programme. He added that at NeGD & MyGov, women have proven to multitask and handle their professional and personal lives exceptionally well. He appreciated their outstanding contributions in all domains at NeGD & MyGov.
The occasion was also graced by the presence of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal IPS, Additional DCP, South District. She congratulated all the women present and said that it was a privilege for her to be present during the first celebration of International Women’s Day at Digital India Corporation. Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal IPS and Ms. Shruti Arora IPS then answered some questions from the audience.
Thereafter, a team led by Mr. Ajit Kumar, Inspector, Incharge District Cyber Cell South District conducted a cyber security awareness training session, providing information on important DOs & DON’Ts related to cyber safety.
The second part of the event consisted of a Self-Defence Training session coordinated by the Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC). This session was conducted by a team led by Ms. Asha Thakur, Inspector & Ms. Bharti Sijwali, Head Constable.
Rose flowers and chocolates were distributed as part of the celebration to all female staff.
