The Digital India State Consultation Workshop was held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on March 3, 2025 by NeGD, MeitY. The workshop aims to connect Central Line Ministries, State Governments, academia, and professional bodies within the Digital India framework. It provides a platform to showcase innovative digital initiatives by MeitY and the State while fostering professional development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in project implementation. Shri J L Gupta, Director, NeGD, emphasized the role of NeGD applications in digital governance and urged the Director, IT, to integrate various departments with these platforms for seamless service delivery.
Key presentations at the workshop covered major digital initiatives, including DigiLocker for secure cloud-based document storage, Entity Locker for organizations, UMANG for unified government services, and myScheme for accessing welfare schemes. Participants also received an overview of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), which outlined key rights, obligations, and compliance measures to safeguard citizen data.
