Awareness and Communication (A&C) refers to initiatives and activities undertaken by the National e-Governance Division(NeGD) to raise awareness and facilitate effective communication on various topics related to electronics, information technology, and digital initiatives. NeGD plays a crucial role in formulating and implementing policies, programs, and schemes related to the development and promotion of electronics, IT-enabled services, and the information technology sector in India. As part of its mandate, NeGD recognizes the importance of creating awareness and fostering communication to engage with stakeholders, to educate the public, and disseminate information on its various initiatives and programs. 

The A&C efforts of NeGD can include the following:

Digital Literacy Campaigns: A&C may undertake initiatives to promote digital literacy among citizens, especially in rural and remote areas. These campaigns aim to equip individuals with the necessary skills to effectively access and utilize digital technologies and online services.

Public Outreach Programs: A&C organizes events, workshops, seminars, and conferences to engage with various stakeholders, including industry representatives, academia, researchers, and the general public. These programs serve as platforms for knowledge-sharing, idea exchange, and collaborative discussions on emerging technologies, policies, and initiatives.

The aim and objectives of the Awareness and Communications team of NeGD are as follows:

 

Promoting awareness: The primary aim of the team is to create awareness among citizens, government officials, and stakeholders about the various e-governance initiatives implemented by the government. This includes promoting awareness about digital services, online platforms, and digital infrastructure available for citizens to access government services conveniently.

 

Educating stakeholders: The team aims to educate stakeholders, including government officials, about the benefits, features, and functionalities of e-governance initiatives. This helps in building a strong foundation of understanding and knowledge among stakeholders, enabling them to effectively utilize and contribute to digital transformation efforts.

 

Enhancing user adoption: The team works towards increasing user adoption of e-governance initiatives by highlighting the convenience, efficiency, and transparency these initiatives bring to citizens and businesses. Through effective communication and awareness campaigns, the team encourages citizens to embrace digital services and actively participate in the digital transformation process.

 

Facilitating stakeholder engagement: The team aims to facilitate meaningful and productive engagement with stakeholders, including citizens, government officials, industry representatives, and other organizations. The Human Resources (HR) division at NeGD plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s mission of advancing e-Governance initiatives. HR is responsible for talent acquisition, ensuring that NeGD attracts skilled professionals for various digital transformation projects. The division oversees employee development through training and career progression programs, ensuring the workforce stays updated with the latest technologies and governance practices. Additionally, HR manages employee relations, fostering a positive organizational culture through engagement initiatives, conflict resolution, and wellness programs. Capacity Building Scheme Phase III: Enhancing Governance through Knowledge and Capacity Building

केपॅसिटी बिल्डिंग स्कीम (सी.बी.) चरण III, डिजिटल इंडिया कार्यक्रम की एक रणनीतिक पहल है, जिसका उद्देश्य सभी स्तरों की सरकारी संस्थाओं में आवश्यक और प्रासंगिक क्षमताओं का विकास करना है। यह चरण, चरण I और II की सफलताओं और अनुभवों पर आधारित है। यह अपनी पहुँच को बढ़ाता है और डिजिटल युग की बदलती शासन संबंधी जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए उन्नत शिक्षण तरीकों को अपनाता है।

चरण III के परिकल्पना और उद्देश्य

परिकल्पना : केपॅसिटी बिल्डिंग स्कीम के तीसरे चरण में डिजिटल रूप से सक्षम सरकारी कार्यबल तैयार करने की परिकल्पना की गई है, जो पूरे भारत में डिजिटल गवर्नेंस पहलों को कुशलतापूर्वक संचालित और प्रबंधित कर सके, तथा डिजिटल इंडिया और सतत विकास के व्यापक लक्ष्यों में योगदान दे सके।

उद्देश्य:

  • लक्षित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों के ज़रिए सभी स्तरों पर सरकारी अधिकारियों की क्षमता और काम करने की दक्षता को बढ़ाना
  • निरंतर सीखने और ज्ञान साझा करने के लिए iGOT जैसे राष्ट्रीय ऑनलाइन प्रशिक्षण प्लेटफ़ॉर्म का उपयोग करना
  • डिजिटल परिवर्तन पहल को बेहतरी के लिए राज्य/संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों के नीति-निर्माण निकायों को सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए पेशेवर और तकनीकी विशेषज्ञता प्रदान करने के लिए उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों में विशेषज्ञों का एक समूह विकसित करना
  • ई-गवर्नेंस में बेहतरीन प्रथाओं और नवाचारों को साझा करने के लिए सहयोग और साझेदारी को बढावा देना
  • डिजिटल शासन में सभी की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए समावेशन और जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देना
