Passport Verification Record Now Available on DigiLocker for Citizens’ Ease and Security
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), has announced a major enhancement to citizen services through the enablement of the Passport Verification Record (PVR) on the DigiLocker platform. DigiLocker is a secure, cloud-based platform under the Digital India programme that enables issuance, storage, sharing, and verification of digital documents and certificates.
Simplified compliance framework for start-ups and certain data fiduciaries under DPDP Act and Rules
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 have been notified on 13 November 2025, They provide a timelines for implementation of relevant provisions. In terms of the provision of the Rules, Digital Data Protection Board has been notified.

UIDAI records 231 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions in November, 8.47% growth over Nov 2024
Aadhaar number holders executed 231Cr authentication transactions in November 2025, clocking a growth of almost 8.5% as against the same period last year. It is indicative of the growing usage of Aadhaar, as well as the growth of digital economy in the country. The November 2025 authentication transactions are highest so far when compared with any of the previous months this fiscal year. In October, the numbers were 219.51 Cr. The growing usage shows, how Aadhaar has been playing the role of a facilitator for effective welfare delivery, and voluntarily availing services offered by service providers.
