DPDP Workshop for IT Ecosystem

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has been at the forefront of building capacities for government officers through its Capacity Building (CB) Program for Digital India. This program aims to equip officers with the requisite technical knowledge, digital acumen, and domain expertise to lead transformative initiatives in digital governance effectively.

Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 was enacted and the Draft Digital Personal Data Protection Rules were published in January 2025 for public consultation. The DPDP Act, 2023 and the draft rules made thereto would impact the departments, agencies and entities collecting, processing and storing digital personal data. To build capacity within the government and IT ecosystem to align their Digital Personal Data Management practices in compliance with the provisions of the DPDP Act, 2023, NeGD in collaboration with NISG would be organizing Workshops across the country.

In relation to the above, a one-day DPDP Workshop focused on IT ecosystem is scheduled to be organized on the 15th of September 2025 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
