The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh, organized a Digital India State Awareness Workshop on 7 July 2026 at Hotel Diskitsal, Leh. The workshop was aimed at enhancing awareness of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and building the capacity of government officials on key citizen-centric Digital India initiatives. The sessions covered major Digital India platforms, including DigiLocker, Entity Locker, API Setu, Meri Pehchaan, UX4G, UMANG, and MyScheme. The discussions highlighted how these platforms are enabling secure, paperless, and citizen-centric governance while improving digital service delivery and accessibility. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials of various government departments, banks, universities, and public institutions across Ladakh. It provided an effective platform for knowledge sharing and reinforced the commitment towards accelerating the adoption of Digital India initiatives and strengthening digital governance in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
