The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, is organizing a comprehensive training programme on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. The workshop is designed to equip government officials, technology professionals, and policy stakeholders with a practical understanding of the Act and its implementation across public sector organizations.
The programme will cover the key provisions of the DPDP Act, including the responsibilities of Data Fiduciaries, rights of Data Principals, and the evolving regulatory framework. Participants will gain practical insights into establishing data inventories, classifying personal data, implementing notice and consent management mechanisms, handling Data Principal requests, and adopting effective governance practices. The sessions will also focus on implementing technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal data, strengthening incident response capabilities, and fostering a culture of privacy and security within organizations.
Through real-world examples, interactive discussions, and implementation-focused guidance, the workshop aims to help departments translate the requirements of the DPDP Act into actionable compliance measures. By the end of the programme, participants will be better prepared to build privacy-centric digital services, enhance citizen trust, and support the Government’s vision of secure, transparent, and responsible digital governance.
