NIELIT Delhi, Ropar, and Jammu in collaboration with Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR) successfully organized the DGR Job Fair 2025 on August 2, 2025 at NIELIT Delhi – Janakpuri Centre. The job fair was held for facilitating placement opportunities for DGR candidates trained at NIELIT Delhi, Jammu and Ropar. 14 companies shortlisted candidates against 250+ job openings in their respective companies. More than 190 candidates had registered for the Job Fair.

The Department of Information Technology, Jammu & Kashmir, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, conducted a 2-day state-level workshop titled “CCMP Workshop and Cybersecurity Exercise” at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, on 16-06-2025 and 17-06-2025.

The program was aimed at enhancing cyber resilience across departments of the Union Territory by equipping senior officers, including Administrative Secretaries, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) / Information Security Officers (ISOs), and nodal officers from various government departments, with essential cybersecurity knowledge and hands-on crisis response planning.

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw today launched the guidelines and portal for the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), marking a major step towards strengthening India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.

Speaking at the launch, Union Minister outlined the Government’s clear strategy for electronics manufacturing. He said India started its journey by manufacturing finished products to build volume and basic confidence, enabling downward integration. This was followed by module-level manufacturing, then component manufacturing, and now manufacturing of materials that build components. Highlighting that finished goods account for 80 to 85 percent of the value chain, he noted that the scale achieved in electronics manufacturing has been phenomenal.
