Specialized Training Programmes in e-Governance

The objective of this training is to develop specific competency in a specific area of decision-making/phase of e-Governance Life Cycle (eGLC). The programme is designed in such a way that each day witnesses discussions on theoretical or conceptual knowledge on a topic with real life examples (successful e-governance initiatives) and classroom exercise on application of the concepts learnt during the training. These programmes rely extensively on expert deliberation and peer interaction.

1. e-Gov Life Cycle (e-GLC)

The training strives to align its participants to knowledge of e-governance and its current status in India, with special reference to Digital India programme. It specifically intents to impart stepwise elaboration of e-Governance Project Life Cycle (eGLC) along with its associated components, such as Government Process Reengineering (GPR) and Change Management Concerns.  The entire learning process has been devised in small digestible chunks, elaborated herewith :

This module focuses on evolution of e-Governance and introduction to e-GLC. The next level highlights the need for reform-cum-transformation of governance systems & processes and guidelines for e-Gov project implementation. The last level digs into detailing each phase of e-GLC and their components.

This training emphasizes on revealing the core attributes of RFP design, including, e-Government procurement process, cost components & Business Models for e-Governance Projects, EOI & Request For Proposal (RFP) Preparation and Key Legal Terms of Bid Process. 6. Project Management

The two week programme aims to impart knowledge and skill-sets necessary for government officers for executing projects from conceptualization to roll-out stage using the methodology of PMP, PMI, USA/ PRINCE2, AXELOS, UK.

7. IndEA

Initial workshops are being conducted to generate awareness regarding enterprise architecture, Digital Service Standards (DSS), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), IndEA document and IndEA adoption guidelines. It also discusses case studies, lessons learnt and hands-on training of IndEA tools and techniques to enhance implementation. Post this workshop, the interested officers may also attend:

  • Level 1 – Training on TOGAF for 3 days at any pre-decided location
  • Level 2 – The officers, who clear Level-1 training and certification shall be invited to attend an advanced level 3 day training programme at any pre-decided location (Bangalore/ Delhi/ Guwahati/ Hyderabad/ Kolkata/ Mumbai)
