SeMTs are a team of professionals deployed in the States/UTs, aligned with State IT departments to provide technical/professional support to the State governments decisions and policy-making bodies (State Apex Committee). The objective is to support Digital India policy & planning in the States/UTs, in the areas of Programme Management, Developing Business and Financial Models, Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Re-engineering and Change Management.
SeMTs have been formed within the government structure to enhance the internal professional capacity. SeMTs are assigned only for defined deliverables. Approximately 2 to 10 resources for SeMTs have been provided to the States/UTs, based on the category of States/UTs. Details of the resources are given below:
