The online conference was organised by Ministry of Electronics & IT to commemorate 5 years of Digital India Programme’s journey. It introduced Digital India’s 5 year journey, its new initiatives and focus areas. The Online Conference was organised by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to celebrate 5 Years of Digital India progressing towards Digital Bharat – AatmaNirbhar Bharat. The Conference was graced by Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Minister of Electronics & IT, Shri Sanjay Dhotre, Hon’ble Minister of State, Shri Nandan Nilekani, IT Secretaries of all States, representatives from Ministries, Industry and Academia. The conference was attended by 1,500 delegates. Digital India journey in the past 5 years has revolved around Empowerment, Inclusion, Digital Transformation and has been beneficial for citizens of the country, through services like Aadhaar, Direct Benefit Transfer, Common Services Centres, DigiLocker, Mobile based UMANG services, participatory governance through MyGov, Jeevan Pramaan, Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kisan, e-NAM, National Scholarship Portal, e-Pathshala, and so on. Initiatives like ‘National AI Portal’ and ‘Responsible AI for Youth’ was launched by the Government to lay the foundation for an AI-powered future.
