Mass media campaigns are essential to reinforce recall about various eServices being enabled across the country. It also helps build the umbrella brand that can be leveraged across by MMPs. It is also essential to weave the mass media campaign with the existing on ground activity i.e. outreach campaign. To disseminate awareness about NeGP and to support the Outreach Campaign, an eclectic mix of Mass Media such as Radio, Print and Cinema Advertisements was leveraged as given below
Radio:
Nationwide Radio Campaigns were undertaken on All India Radio and private FM Channels to support MeitY’s Rural Outreach Campaign, by reaching out to the rural audience, informing and educating them about what role NeGP can play in empowering them.

Print Advertisements:
To raise awareness about NeGP’s achievements amongst diverse stakeholders, advertisements have been published in leading dailies (All India) in English, Hindi and various regional languages.
Cinema Advertisements:
In order to support MeitY’s Rural Outreach Campaign Phase I & II, 60 second cinema advertisements were run in and around select locations connected to the outreach programme.
NeGP Theme Song:
The theme song was created to facilitate brand building of NeGP, and most importantly, so that the common man connects with it and starts looking forward to news about NeGP components. The lyrics for the NeGP Theme Song have been penned by eminent and distinguished poet Shri Gulzar and the music has been composed by the doyen of Dilli Gharana, Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan. The song has been sung by renowned artists- Suresh Wadkar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Jaspinder Narula and Imran Khan. The song was officially released in the inaugural session of the 15th National Conference on e-Governance held in Odisha on 9th February 2012, by Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Navin Patnaik. The song reflects NeGP’s vision and aspirations- citizen centricity and making access to public services a citizen’s right.

Films:
Films are extremely powerful means for conveying specific messages to the audience, raising awareness and educating them on various schemes and projects. Films on NeGP MMPs such as Common Services Centre and NeGP Corporate Films have been produced to inform stakeholders about the various projects that are being implemented under the Plan. These films are being showcased at various locations covered during the Rural Outreach Campaign.

NeGP TV Series ‘Zindagidotom’:
To create awareness and disseminate information about NeGP, its various Mission Mode Projects, services and related aspects, fictional TV Series on National e-Governance Plan called “Zindagidotcom” is being produced through National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). The tele-series will demonstrate many direct and indirect benefits of e-Governance to both the delivering agencies as well as the beneficiaries. The characters and the plot in the series are designed in a way to showcase various challenges in adopting e-Governance and how these challenges are overcome. By picking up successful case studies, the series displays the degree of overall impact of NeGP initiatives.
