Snapshot Capacity Building Scheme Phase – I

The Capacity Building Scheme, with an outlay of Rs 313 Crores, was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on 10th January 2008. The vision of the scheme was laid down as:

“ Establishment of an institutional framework for State Level Strategic decision- making including setting-up of State e-Governance Mission Team (SeMT). ”

“Imparting specialized training, Orientation program for SeMTs and decision makers, knowledge sharing and bringing in international best practices”

For implementation of the scheme, two Administrative approvals were issued to NISG for delivery of trainings under 3 categories viz: Leadership Meet (LM), specialized training for e-Governance Programme (STeP) and State e Mission Team (SeMT) orientation. The first training delivery started from Nov 2010. NISG was also entrusted to execute the Chief Information Training programme (CIO) under 3 categories and they were also used as coordinators for thematic workshops.
